I am a writer, lawyer, advocate and parent currently living in Lawrence, KS. My interests include Patient Advocacy, Patient Education, Health Care Reform, Disability Justice, and Social Justice. I am also interested in reading, watching college football and basketball, playing with makeup and watching trashy reality TV shows.

You can click the button above to read my articles about living with Migraine, navigating legal issues as a person with chronic illness and/or disability, mental health, and books and reading.

Most years I participate in the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy (AHDA) event called Headache on the Hill to lobby Members of Congress for much-needed policy changes and increases in research funding for migraine, cluster headache and other headache disorders.

If you are preparing to apply for Social Security Disability benefits, I can help you navigate the application process, which can be incredibly intimidating and scary. I'm also available to advise you about other legal issues you might be dealing with as a result of chronic health conditions, such as the need for accommodations at work or intermittent leave. Please contact me via the form below with your questions or to discuss working together.
